The Upper West Regional organizer of the New Patriotic Party Mr Alaska Kanton has donated eight thousand Ghana Cedis (Ghc 8,000.00) to the regional Npp communicators in a bid to enhance their operations ahead of the 2024 general elections. The said amount is meant to be distributed internally across the region to NPP communicators.

According to Mr Alaska Kanton, after a very careful observation with the regional communication bureau coupled with their constant complaints and lamentation of the party’s inability to support them financially especially from people who have benefited directly from NPP government but chose to neglect the regional communication teams, this he said is causing dissatisfaction, withdrawal and apathy among party communicators who worked tirelessly to give the party life and also dedicated their time and energy in defense of government policies and programmes, those implemented and yet to introduced policies in the next NPP government through radio stations and and other social media outlets.

The regional organizer believes New Patriotic Party government needs to prepare grassroots support to champion the cause and development agenda of government by investing in the party and those directly connected to its progress.

Mr Alaska Kanton said since his assumption of office as the Regional Organizer he is determined to whipped up the interest of NPP members and with the view of increasing the vote margin in the impending 2024 general elections.

He said that statistics is pointing to fact that the support base for party is fast growing and he is therefore optimistic that breaking the eight years cycle is going to be possible .

Commenting on wining more seats in the region Mr Alaska Kanton acknowledged the difficulty confronting the party to increase its seat from three seats to at least five just like it happened in the 2016 general elections adding that the parliamentary primaries is a critical obstacle and if the party does not apply maturity, internal divisions may eventually lead to lose one more seat to the National Democratic Congress in the region.
