The Ghana Health Service (GHS) in four regions of the North (Upper West, Upper East, North East and Northern) has been given a boost in the form of state-of-the-art equipment necessary for health service delivery. Former president, John Dramani Mahama has suggested that it will be appropriate if the Ghana Armed Forces are excluded from the management of the 2024 general elections. According to Mr. Mahama, managing elections is the core mandate of the police but not the military. The Ghana Police Service has commenced investigations into the alleged murder of Mr. Eric Johnson, the Chief Executive Officer of the Royal Cosy Hills Hotel and Resort, popularly known as Jirapa Dubai located in Jirapa, Upper West Region. The Member of Parliament (MP) for the Wa East Constituency, Dr. Godfred Seidu Jasew has solely funded the construction and rehabilitation of two boreholes for the people of Bulenga and Tafali, both in the Wa East District.
