The Nandom Rural Bank Plc will soon extend its activities to the Wa West District of the Upper West Region. This follows clearance given to the Bank by the Bank of Ghana (BOG) to expand its operations after successfully going through all legal procedures and requirement.
This was disclosed by the Bank’s Board Chairman, Firmino Bergyire Aasoyir (Esq.), at its 41st annual general meeting at Nandom.
Announcing the Bank’s resolve to continue to thrive for more branches as clientele base continuous to expand, Lawyer Aasoyir said expressed happiness about the grant of clearance by the BOG to establish more branches.
“I am happy to inform you that the Bank of Ghana has given approval for our bank to expand its operations to the Wa West District. Following feasibility studies conducted by the Bank, we will soon open a branch at Wechau and a mobilization centre at Nyoli.” He stated.
He added that plans are also advanced in converting the Piina Mobilization Centre to a full branch for daily operations. Nandom Rural Bank Plc was incorporated on 14th July, 1980 as a limited liability company and was licensed to commence business on 31st July, 1981. It currently has over 2,000 shareholders with its headquarters situated in Nandom in the Nandom Municipality. It also has branches or mobilisation centres in six other districts, including the Sissala West, Lambussie, Wa Municipality, Wa East, and Nadowli/Kaleo districts.
